Job purpose

The purpose of the Registered Nurse is to facilitate a safe and positive patient experience and ensure that proper preparation is made for the day. Ensure smooth patient flow and keep providers on schedule while proactively addressing scheduling issues or patient concerns.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Collect patients from waiting room in a timely manner.
  • Show patient to appropriate room based on services scheduled.
  • Review and record chief complaint/reason for visit.
  • Take and record vitals required based on reason for visit.
  • Administer injections and IVs as directed by providers.
  • Coordinate phlebotomist and x-ray if necessary.
  • Assist providers during procedures and visits as requested.
  • Perform EKG, PFTs, Vision and Diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Review, print and prepare for next day’s schedule.
  • Return patient and pharmacy calls as directed by providers or Nurse Manager.
  • Prep and clean exam rooms between patients and at end of each day.
  • Maintain safety and appearance of exam rooms and escalate any issues.
  • Ensure next day’s paperwork is prepared before end of day.
  • Attend meetings as requested by Nurse Manager.

 

Qualifications

The Registered Nurse must be able to perform these tasks in a fast-paced integrative center while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and courtesy to both patients and co-workers. Excellent communication skills and current NJ State License and BLS certification is required.

Working conditions

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Required hours may vary due to patient schedule but may include the following, minus any meal/break periods as required by law:

Monday 8:30am to 5:30pm

Tuesday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Wednesday 8:30am to 5:30pm

Thursday 8:30am to 5:30pm

Friday 7:00am to 1:00pm

Saturday 8:30am to 1:00pm (rotating schedule)

  • Inform provider when patient is ready.
  • Coordinate phlebotomist if necessary.
  • Coordinate with X-ray as needed.
  • Efficiently transfer patient to next provider per schedule.
  • Perform EKG, PFTs, Injections, Vision tests, etc as needed.
  • Review, print and prepare for next days schedule.

The purpose of the X-Ray Technologist/Chiropractic Assistant is to facilitate a positive patient experience and ensure that proper preparation is made for the day. Ensure smooth patient flow and keep providers on schedule while proactively addressing scheduling issues or patient concerns. Perform x-rays as requested by providers and ensure the safety and compliance to regulations of x-ray equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Collect patients from waiting room in a timely manner.
  • Show patient to appropriate room based on services scheduled.
  • Review and record chief complaint/reason for visit.
  • Take and record vitals required based on reason for visit.
  • Setup and break down of physical medicine patients.
  • Perform x-rays as requested by physical, internal and podiatric medicine providers.
  • Inform provider when patient is ready.
  • Efficiently transfer patient to next provider per schedule.
  • Receive and put away stock as directed by Nurse Manager.
  • Prep and clean exam rooms between patients and at end of each day.
  • Maintain safety and appearance of exam rooms and escalate any issues.
  • Ensure next days paperwork is prepared before end of day.
